Littleton crime reports now online
Littleton citizens can now access local crime data online. The easy-to-use system is interactive and allows citizens to simply type in an address, access a map, and find out the types of crimes occurring in that particular neighborhood or in the entire city. Littleton police officers continually file crime reports throughout their shifts. Then once per day, the data from those reports is downloaded to the CrimeReports server, which instantly updates the web site. Citizens can also register to receive email alerts about crime in their neighborhood. Incidents can be sorted by crime type, date, distance from a given address and over various periods of time; from three to 30 days. For instance, if a citizen would like to find out about a particular police activity they noticed in the city, they can search that location to stay informed. Crimes such as homicide, breaking and entering, robbery, theft, auto theft, and DUIs can be searched for individually or all at once.
Snow Squad needs volunteers.Snow Squad program needs volunteers
The Snow Squad is a volunteer program administered by the City of Littleton to provide snow removal for city residents who are physically unable to shovel their sidewalks themselves. The Snow Squad has many citizens who have been unsuccessful in enlisting the help of a family member, friend or neighbor to perform this service. If you can spare an hour to help whenever we have measurable snow, and are looking for a way to give back to your community, please contact the City of Littleton Neighborhood Resources Coordinator at 303-795-3778. This is the perfect opportunity for students who are looking for ways to volunteer! Please read the Snow Squad Guidelines.

Coyote.LPD offers some tips on coyotes
The issue of human-coyote interaction has been a popular topic in many circles recently. The issue is timely as coyote pups will begin to emerge from their dens during the spring months. It is important to remember that coyotes can live in almost any environment, and many have adapted to living in an urban area. Humans should practice avoidance as much as possible when dealing with coyotes, particularly if there is a den in the neighborhood. While coyotes are typically afraid of human interaction, they can get aggressive on occasion. More coyote information
