LIRC Volunteer Information

volunteer and immigrantEnrich your life and your understanding of other cultures by helping newcomers to the Littleton community. There are numerous volunteer opportunities available. We invite you to join us on this journey toward a more culturally diverse community!

All community members, whether newcomers or long-term residents, are welcome to become involved in the Littleton Immigrant Resources Center (LIRC). There are many ways you can participate. Complete the online volunteer application today!

  • Help to staff the One-Stop Information Center at Bemis Public Library.
  • Serve as a one-on-one citizenship mentor at a public place of your choice to help immigrants prepare for their citizenship examination.
  • Volunteer as a tutor with English as a Second Language programs.
  • Assist with workshops and events — for example, distributing fliers, bringing snacks, setting up the room, greeting participants, etc.
  • Speak about the LIRC at meetings of civic and faith-based groups, and other organizations.
  • Interpret at workshops and events, and/or translate materials into other languages if you have special language skills.
  • Seek business or corporate support for the work of the LIRC.
  • Host a gathering of community residents or employees at your organization, workplace, or home. We will come to talk about our work and the strengths and challenges that growing diversity brings to our community.
  • Write grants to support the LIRC program.
