The Business/Industry Affairs Department is the economic
development arm of the city. The department is responsible for ensuring the
economic health of the community (creation of well paying jobs) and the City of
Littleton (sales tax revenues). The department runs an internationally
recognized program called Economic Gardening which provides high-end,
corporate level tools for any Littleton businesses. The department provides
market research, competitor intelligence, industry trends, marketing lists,
strategy development, web optimization and customized research for any business
inside the city limits at no charge.
The B/IA department also provides staff support for the Colorado Center for Information Technologies and the Greater Littleton Youth Initiative. The GLYI was established after the Columbine High School tragedy and is
responsible for running six Blueprint programs (the only youth programs in the
nation proven to work) and a suicide prevention program. Both the economic
gardening and youth programs have won national awards.
If your business is located within the city limits (use the city address search page to determine if you are within the city proper or just have a Littleton ZIP code), or if you would like to establish a business within the city boundaries, please contact us to explore the myriad of free services the City of Littleton provides for its local businesses.
