The Carousel of Music kicks off the 83rd Western Welcome Week (WWW) Wednesday, August 10 starting at 5 p.m. A perennial favorite with families during WWW, this event features appearances from the Colorado Honor Band, the Denver Concert Band and the Littleton Chorale.
Special magical performance — don't miss it!
Be ready to be amazed by Lttleton native Derek McKee, world-famous teen magician. Derek will startle and delight the audience with his comedy and magic. Derek was featured in the 2010 magical documentary, Make Believe, a coming-of-age journey which showcases some of the worlds greatest teen magicians. Recently, Derek was invited to perform at the exclusive Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
KIDS — BRING A TOWEL and enjoy the inflatable water slide in Geneva Park. For the water-shy, there will be a dry inflatable slide, too. There will be canoe and paddle-boat rides on Geneva Lake for $1 per person. Pan for "gold," face painting and temporary tattoos for the kids; and hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, and ice cream sandwiches for 50¢ each.
