2. Where can I get information about the Omnibus and Shopping Cart?
 

Shopping Cart and Omnibus services are available for Littleton seniors and the disabled.The Shopping Cart is a free bus service available to Littleton seniors Monday-Saturday. The Shopping Cart makes scheduled pickups in the city and drop-offs at King Soopers, Cub Foods, Albertsons and the Southglenn Mall. Check the online schedule for days and times or call 303-795-3700 for more information.

The Omnibus is a free transportation service provided to Littleton seniors or disabled. Reservations are required and must be made 48 hours in advance. Call 303-795-3700 to make a reservation.

3. How do I get to the Littleton Center (city hall)? Municipal Court? City Shops?
 

Front of the Littleton Center.The Littleton Center is located at 2255 West Berry Avenue, just one block north of Main Street between Prince Street and the railroad tracks. It is open Monday through Friday (except major holidays) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is available in the visitor parking lot on the south side of the building. See map for details. 303-795-3700.

Municipal Courthouse (formerly the Arapahoe County Courthouse).Littleton Municipal Court is located at 2069 West Littleton Boulevard in the former Arapahoe County Courthouse east of Main Street overlooking downtown Littleton. 303-795-3837.

The Littleton Service Center (also known as the "city shops") is located at 1800 West Belleview, just west of South Santa Fe. NOTE — that address is not an entrance. The main entrance is on Shari Lane. From South Windermere, turn west onto Shari Lane, one block south of Belleview, and drive two blocks to the east entrance to the Service Center. 303-795-3969.

8. Who picks up my trash? How do I get recycle of my autumn leaves? Old tires? A Christmas tree? Large items? Hazardous waste? Where is the city dump?
 

The city does not have a trash hauling service; property owners contract individually with local trash hauling companies. Sometimes, a homeowner's association or property management company might arrange for trash pickup for their properties. Recycling is also contracted through the trash hauling company.

Every autumn, the cities of Littleton and Englewood sponsor a responsible alternative to sending residents' autumn leaves to a landfill. Leaves are collected on two Saturday mornings—usually the first and second Saturdays in November. No grass clippings, tree branches or other refuse is accepted. Old tires are also collected for recycling for a small fee. Call 303-795-3766 for more information.

Mulching Christmas trees.For two weeks after Christmas, the City of Littleton and South Suburban Parks and Recreation collect and mulch Christmas trees. Call call 303-795-3766 for more information.

The City of Littleton does not have a city dump. Look in the yellow pages under "Landfills and Transfer Sites" for the nearest transfer station.

The City of Littleton has a Summer Cleanup Program that starts up about the first of June every year. Residents must call to schedule a pickup time. Requests will be taken until all time slots are full. Call early to guarantee a pickup. The city will pick up large, bulky items such as old appliances, furniture and bundled tree branches. The program's phone line, 303-795-3744, is usually staffed the first of June until the end of the program for that year. Call the above number from 8 a.m. to 12 noon to schedule a pickup. Each September, the cities of Littleton and Englewood jointly host a Household Hazardous Waste Roundup. Accepted materials include automotive batteries, flammable liquids (paint thinner, kerosene, gasoline), liquid mercury (thermometers, barometers, blood pressure gauges), oil-based paint, and lawn and garden chemicals. Other materials that are accepted include antifreeze and motor oil; however, these items should be recycled throughout the year. Latex paint is not accepted, but if it is completely dried out, it can be placed in with your regular trash.
