The city does not have a trash hauling service; property owners contract individually with local trash hauling companies. Sometimes, a homeowner's association or property management company might arrange for trash pickup for their properties. Recycling is also contracted through the trash hauling company.

Each September, the cities of Littleton and Englewood jointly host a Household Hazardous Waste Roundup. Accepted materials include automotive batteries, flammable liquids (paint thinner, kerosene, gasoline), liquid mercury (thermometers, barometers, blood pressure gauges), oil-based paint, and lawn and garden chemicals. Other materials that are accepted include antifreeze and motor oil; however, these items should be recycled throughout the year. Latex paint is not accepted, but if it is completely dried out, it can be placed in with your regular trash. Officials from both cities verify residency and provide information about how to recycle certain items on your own anytime. Call 303-795-3834 for further information.
