2012 Historic Preservation Awards Nominations

Littleton Historic Preservation Awards recognize individuals and organizations for outstanding contributions to local historic preservation. The nominations are reviewed and awarded by Historic Littleton, Inc., and the Historical Preservation Board. Some categories may not be awarded each year. Awards will be presented during Historic Preservation Month at the Historic Littleton, Inc. Town Hall Arts Center, 2450 W. Main Street in downtown Littleton on Wednesday, May 9 at 7 p.m.

HPB Awards on May 9 at 7PM at Town Hall Arts Center.

The Preservation Award winners who will be recognized this year include:

  • Award for Outstanding Achievement — Havener Millinery (formerly Veto’s);
  • Award of Merit — the Courthouse/Sternberg Building, owned by Littleton Capital Partners;
  • Award of Stewardship — Littleton First Presbyterian Church;
  • Award of Preservation Advocacy — Doris Farmer Hulse (posthumously) and Kevin Koernig.

The Awards Committee bases its decisions on the contributions of the project to the community and on compliance with the "Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties." Properties must be located within the Littleton city limits and either be designated as a historic landmark, located in a designated historic district, or be on the List of Merit.
