Housing Rehabilitation

The Littleton Rehabilitation Program was established to revitalize and preserve homes within the city limits of Littleton. The program provides assistance to Littleton homeowners who are living in substandard homes and are not otherwise able to afford to rehabilitate their homes. It serves families and seniors with low-to-moderate incomes.

The goal of the Littleton Rehabilitation Program is to upgrade housing in the City of Littleton, one home at a time. The program, under the direction of the Littleton Housing Authority, provides low-interest loans and grants to homeowners living in single-family homes. The loans are designed to fit the needs of the homeowners, with repayment depending upon income and ability to pay. The loans may be established on the basis of principle and interest, interest only, or in some cases, a full grant may be available.

All types of rehabilitation can be made including repairs to roofing, electrical, plumbing, gutters, flooring, heating systems, windows, doors, and weatherization. Special attention is given to health and safety issues, handicap accessibility and code issues.
