Danny Dietz Memorial Dedication Ceremony, July 4, 2007

A ceremony was held July 4, 2007 to dedicate the memorial statue of fallen Navy SEAL Danny "D.J." Dietz at the Berry Park extension in Littleton. The date marked the 2-year anniversary of the family's notification of his death. The bronze statue was placed in the park to honor Dietz, who grew up in Littleton. The event was attended by an estimated 3,000 people, including several hundred active and retired members of America's military. This is a video of the ceremony.

Centennial Race Track: Racing with the River

Centennial Race Track was a world class horse racing track in Littleton for more than thirty years. There are very few reminders of the track that remain today, and many area residents don’t even know the track existed. Centennial Race Track: Racing with the River examines the history of the track through the eyes of horse owners, trainers, a jockey, former track employees, and local horse racing fans. This documentary incorporates historical photos, over a dozen interviews, and rare racing footage from the track.

In celebration of Colorado Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month in May, Littleton 8 presents Littleton: From Agriculture to Technology. This 30-minute program traces the history of land use and business from the 1800s to the present. The historical documentary incorporates present day footage with over 110 historical photographs and many artifacts from the collections of the Littleton Historical Museum.
