Littleton Housing Authority moves into new offices
The Littleton Housing Authority (LHA) moved into new offices on January 26, 2009. The new offices are located at 5745 South Bannock Street. An open house was held on Monday, March 9, 2009. Previously, LHA had offices at 5844 and 5854 South Datura. Offices are still maintained at Bradley House, Alyson Court and Amity Plaza.
The new offices, previously a medical office, were completely remodeled.
New energy-efficient windows were installed throughout the building. The roof was replaced with recycled roofing materials and solar tubes were installed to reduce the amount of energy consumption. New carpeting made from recycled fibers was installed throughout the building. In addition, new energy efficient heating and air conditioning systems replaced the old boilers and the building was completely reinsulated.
Dan Burnham, Executive Director said, “We are excited to be a member of the northeast neighborhood. After having our main office at Bradley House for 35 years, it is quite a change. However, the staff has embraced the move and looks forward to serving our clients and citizens in the new location.”
Littleton Housing Authority purchased three apartment buildings on West Powers Circle in October and will begin extensive renovations of each property later this year.
