Public Invited to Meet City Manager Finalists
The Littleton City Council invites the public to meet the finalists for the city manager’s position at a reception Monday, August 22 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Littleton Museum, 6028 South Gallup Street.
The deadline for applications was July 25. More than 60 applications were received. The city’s executive recruiter, Gary Suiter, from the Mercer Group, Inc. is evaluating the applications. He will present a list of leading candidates to the city council at an executive session Monday, August 8. The city council will narrow the candidates to a group of 4-8 possible finalists who will be interviewed by council members and department directors August 23 and 24.
The timeline calls for the city council to consider finalizing a contract with the new city manager on September 6. The city council hopes to have a new city manager on board by October 1.
City Manager Jim Woods announced his retirement last spring, effective September 30. A reception to celebrate Woods’ career will be held Friday, September 23 from 3-5 p.m. at the Littleton Center, 2255 West Berry Avenue.
