Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Automobile Accident

On January 20, at 8:58 a.m. Littleton Police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and bicyclist at the intersection of W. Mineral Ave. and S. Mineral Ct.

Officers have learned that 74 year old Edward Ervin, of Littleton, CO, was riding a bicycle eastbound on the sidewalk of W. Mineral Ave. when he approached S. Mineral Ct. The driver of the vehicle was stopped facing southbound on S. Mineral Ct. at W. Mineral Ave., preparing to make a right hand turn. The vehicle and bicyclist collided in the intersection at W. Mineral Ave. and S. Mineral Ct.

Edward Ervin has sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident and Littleton Fire Rescue transported him to Littleton Hospital where he remains in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing and no formal charges have been filed at this time.
