City Crews Prepare for Winter Storm
City of Littleton crews have been preparing all day for a storm that is forecast to bring significant snow accumulation to the Front Range.
Six snow plow/sander crews are on standby. A contractor has been retained to plow and sand in the TrailMark Subdivision. Snow plow/sander crews will work on 12-hour shifts as long as necessary. Littleton Fire Rescue (LFR) has implemented its Snow Operations Plan. A rescue unit will be stationed at TrailMark. All apparatus have been equipped with chains, and additional LFR personnel are on call.
Snow removal routes are published on the city’s website, www.littletongov.org. Should conditions deteriorate overnight; updates will be recorded on the city’s hotline. The number is 303-795-3900. Updates will also be posted on the city’s Twitter account (www.twitter.com/CityofLittleton) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CityofLittleton). |
