4th of July Family Festival & Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day at the Fourth of July Family Festival and Fireworks Show

The 16th annual Fourth of July Family Festival and Fireworks Show will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone Parks near the intersection of Belleview and Windermere. With an emphasis on a safe night for families, there will be strict enforcement of laws prohibiting alcohol and personal fireworks. Pets are strongly discouraged.

There will be plenty of food, fun, entertainment, games and a fantastic fireworks show for families and friends at this free event sponsored by the cities of Littleton and Englewood, Arapahoe County, and South Suburban Parks and Recreation. Additional financial support is provided by the cities of Sheridan and Centennial.

A variety of food concessions will be available in Belleview and Cornerstone parks. At 9:30 p.m., the spectacular fireworks show will be launched from the baseball fields at Cornerstone Park. There will be many activities for the entire family.

Belleview Park
11 am-4 pm	Miniature Train ($1.50/ride)
11 am-4 pm	Children's Farm ($1.50 admission)
10:30 am-6:30 pm	Pirates Cove Family Aquatic Center (fee charged) (www.piratescovecolorado.com)
3-9 pm	Bounce House, Slide, Climbing Wall, Pony Rides, etc. (fee)
5-6 pm	Duck Races
Plus	Food vendors throughout the afternoon
Cornerstone Park
10 am-8 pm	Colorado Journey Mini-Golf (fee)
3-6 pm	Field games for the whole family, face painting, and drug-free marshals
3-9 pm	Bounce house, bungee jumps, etc. (fee)
4-7 pm	Grant Street Playground (free games and activities for youngsters)
4-8 pm	Face Painting & Drug-Free Marshals
6 pm	AirLife Helicopter Landing
7-9 pm	Live music by "The Tropical Coyotes"
9:30 pm	FIREWORKS! (launched from the baseball fields)
Plus	Food vendors throughout the afternoon
Progress Park
8:30-11 am	Fishing Derby for youth from 2-14 (sign-up begins at 8 am) Poles and bait will be provided by the Division of Wildlife

Alcohol, glass containers, and personal fireworks (including sparklers) are strictly prohibited. Fire marshals, police officers and park rangers will confiscate fireworks, issue citations and escort violators from the park.

Parking: Parking at the parks is on a first-come basis. No parking will be permitted on the south side of W. Prentice Avenue from Windermere to Hickory Street. Motorists are encouraged to obey other traffic restrictions that will be in effect. Limited parking will be available near the parks and at the Littleton Service Center, 1800 W. Belleview Avenue.
