Virtual Tours: Littleton Municipal Courthouse
The Arapahoe County Courthouse was completed in 1908. It was the location of Arapahoe County District Court operations until 1987 when they were moved to the new Justice Center, several miles east of Littleton. The Courthouse sat empty for eleven years until 1998, when the county deeded the property to the Littleton Municipal Building Authority and ownership was transferred from the City to the Colorado Municipal Building Authority who leased it back to the city. The Colorado Historical Society granted money from the State Historical Fund to restore the exterior of the building to its original condition. The interior was restored, plumbing, heating and electrical systems were replaced, and the new Littleton Municipal Courthouse was dedicated on May 13, 2000.
