South Platte Park Public Meeting

South Platte Park Management Plan Public Meeting

South Platte Park and riverThe South Platte Park Management Plan is undergoing its periodic review before the public, the Littleton City Council, and the South Suburban Board of Directors. A public meeting will be held December 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carson Nature Center (3000 W. Carson Drive) to collect comments and input from the public. Comments may be submitted through 10 p.m. Sunday, December 18.

The public is invited to review the 2016 draft plan which outlines recommended changes with notes in the margins, and compare it to the current (2009) management plan. Download both versions below, or hard copies of both plans will also be available at the Carson Nature Center. Email comments to skotl@ssprd.org.

South Platte Park is an 880-acre open space park owned by the City of Littleton and managed by South Suburban Parks and Recreation. It has a variety of biking and hiking trails, fishing lakes, wildlife habitat areas, and the Carson Nature Center. The plan is reviewed every 5 to 10 years.
