The Great American Solar Eclipse

Experience a look into the mysteries of eclipses and other celestial events with astronomer Kevin Manning.  The United States will be treated to the first total eclipse of the Sun visible in the country in almost 40 years on August 21.  The speaker, a former consultant with NASA, will talk about this historic event and how to view the eclipse.  Manning, who is passionate about astronomy, will also show photos of the universe and discuss other celestial wonders.  He has won national and international awards as an astronomer and has worked for the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and a number of observatories.
