Wonder Wednesday Talk

  • Date: 05/09/2018 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

What is a Mandala?

Around the world, many cultures have developed spiritual or ritual symbols to help visualize a variety of intangible concepts. Used primarily in Hinduism and Buddhism, these symbols, known as mandalas, aid in meditation. Representing the universe, the sacred, or even the unconscious, the process of creating one’s own mandala can be a deeply personal experience. In this Wonder Wednesday Talk, join Denver artist Kelly Dolan and museum staff as we briefly explore some traditional and contemporary versions of mandalas, and then create our own. Supplies provided.

*This Wonder Wednesday is limited to 30 participants. Free tickets will be available at the Littleton Museum starting Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
