Bowles/ Federal Safety Improvements Open House

Open House imageThe City of Littleton wants to hear from citizens about improvements they would like to see at the intersection of W. Bowles Avenue and S. Federal Boulevard. An open house is scheduled June 15 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Littleton Golf and Tennis Club, 5800 S. Federal Boulevard, to hear ideas. There won’t be a formal presentation so people can come anytime.

The purpose of the project is to make safety improvements at the intersection. A consultant will identify some interim safety improvements that can be implemented that work toward an ultimate solution, which will be finished once additional funding is identified. The problem at the intersection is a combination of high traffic volumes in conflict with pedestrian and bicycle connectivity through the intersection to the Mary Carter Greenway, Downtown Littleton and other destinations in that area.

The focus of the Open House is to let residents know about the project and receive input on any issues/concerns they have in the area, or potential solutions for the project team to consider. The project team will have maps of the area for reference and information on the project. Attendees will be asked to fill out survey/comment card on how they currently utilize the intersection and what changes they would like to see.

This is the first phase of planned improvements to the intersection, utilizing TABOR funds approved by voters in 2017. For those who cannot attend, visit after June 15 and click on the Bowles/Federal Intersection Safety Improvements Project link to provide feedback to the city.
