Bemis Street from Littleton Boulevard to Sheppard Avenue

As part of the project, several improvements will be made to this section of roadway including new asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, a marked pedestrian crossing and storm sewer. Additionally, curb ramp construction is required to meet Federal guidelines set forth in the American Disabilities Act (ADA).

The construction will consist of removing and reconstructing all of the existing roadway and some existing sidewalk and curb. Every effort will be made to preserve existing landscaping, sprinklers, or other improvements. It is recommended that you make arrangements to relocate any plantings, pavers, etc. that you would like preserved in conflict with the proposed work.

2017 Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Repair
As part of an annual program, city staff evaluates the condition of existing concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk and develops a list of areas at various locations throughout the city with the highest need of repair or replacement. Work is expected to take place from mid-June through mid-August. Drivers and/or pedestrians may encounter temporary lane or sidewalk restrictions during construction. Parking in the immediate vicinity may be restricted during construction.
