Bemis Library and Littleton Museum Reopen
The Littleton Museum and Bemis Public Library will reopen on a limited schedule next week. The two cultural facilities have been closed since March 14 as part of the city’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The library will reopen Tuesday, July 14, with a schedule of Tuesday through Friday, 1–6 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. During this initial stage, capacity will be limited to 60 people per hour. Patrons will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis; once the library’s capacity has been reached, a practice of one-out-one-in will be implemented. Curbside service will continue during the library’s hours of operations only; call 303-795-3961 to schedule an appointment. Computer sessions will be limited to one hour per person, per day. Patrons are encouraged to limit their visit to 60 minutes or less.
The museum will reopen Wednesday, July 15, with a schedule of Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. During this initial stage, capacity will be limited to 50 people per hour. Visitors must make a reservation for a timed entry by calling 303-795-3950. An email confirmation will be sent which will contain the date and time of the reservation and information about the visit. Visitors are encouraged to limit their visit to 60 minutes.
In keeping with the state’s direction for government facilities, visitors must wear a mask or face covering while visiting any city building including the library and museum. Pets (with the exception of trained service animals), food, or beverages are not permitted in the museum or library.
