Arrest Made in Attempted Arson
Just after 11:30 p.m. January 4, the Littleton Police Department (LPD) and South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) responded to a report of smoke at the ARC Thrift Store in the 1400 block of West Littleton Boulevard. Upon further investigation, the call was upgraded to a working commercial structure fire. SMFR investigators determined the fire was caused by arson.
After reviewing surveillance footage from the store, LPD identified and arrested Paul Parsons. Parson's case will be moved to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s office on Monday, January 10.
The ARC Thrift Store was empty at the time of the fire and no one was injured. This is an ongoing investigation, and no other information will be release at this time. LPD thanks SMFR and Arapahoe Rescue Patrol, Inc. for their assistance with this case.
