Due to a dramatic surge of new COVID-19 cases which have reached record high levels in the Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) area, City Manager Mark Relph has directed some changes to city operations in order to protect employees and citizens.

The Littleton Center will be closed to the public, but almost all city services will remain available online. Employees who can work from home will do so.

Police records can be obtained by appointment only. Call 303-794-1551 to report a crime, for court ordered fingerprints, or police assistance in other matters. Littleton Municipal Court is holding virtual and in-person hearings. Masks are required in the courthouse. Checking in for court via phone or online is encouraged.

All city council, board, and commission meetings will be held virtually until at least January 31 at which time this directive may be revisited.

Bemis Library and the Littleton Museum will remain open at 80% of pre-pandemic hours and masks are required. Curbside circulation of library materials is available. High touch areas are sanitized often.

All three counties have exceeded their all-time high seven-day incidence rates which were previously set in November 2020, with rates exceeding 1,000 per 100,000 population in each county. Over the past two weeks, Adams County rates increased by 403%, Arapahoe County by 437%, and Douglas County by 480%. In addition, test positivity rates are also at record levels, greater than 25% in each county. Although hospitalization rates have not risen as much thus far, hospital capacity remains critically tight. Omicron has rapidly become the dominant variant, now making up virtually 100% of Colorado COVID-19 cases, according to state sequencing data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
