Denver Water Project to Affect Traffic on Prince Street
Starting Thursday, March 30, Denver Water will begin a two-month project to replace the underground water vault located at S. Prince Circle and S. Prince Street. Crews will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On March 30, traffic along S. Prince Street will be narrowed to one lane at the project location. The project will continue through early June, but minimal traffic impacts are expected.
Also on March 30, all water customers on S. Prince Circle will be without water from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Except in the case of an emergency, no other water service interruptions are expected to occur during this project.
According to Denver Water, vaults are underground rooms with valves used to control the pressure and flow of water through pipes. This vault, originally installed in 1971, will be replaced to meet today’s safety and engineering standards, and upgraded to handle the distribution needs for the area.
