City council takes position on two statewide initiatives

At its October 2 meeting, Littleton City Council unanimously passed a resolution in support of increased funding for transportation needs; and unanimously passed a second resolution opposing "Amendment 74," an attempt to amend the state constitution.

Council was unanimous in its support of Let’s Go Colorado, a citizen initiative that proposes to increase funding for local and statewide transportation needs. The initiative will appear on the November ballot as Proposition 110.

City council unanimously opposed Amendment 74, an attempt to amend Section 15 of Article II of the Colorado Constitution to require just compensation if private property has “reduced fair market value by government law or regulation.”
