City Council Adopts Envision Littleton 2040 Report
In a unanimous vote, the Littleton City Council adopted the first-ever vision for the city. Envision Littleton 2040 Report is a community-driven process to plan for the next 10-20 years and was launched during the summer of 2018. The Envision Littleton team spent 12 weeks interacting with the community and received 870 survey responses and had conversations with over 3,000 people.
Based on community values, Envision Littleton identified five guiding principles as the foundation for the decision-making process to implement all priorities and goals. Those guiding principles are: anchored, authentic, connected, active and engaged. The Envision Littleton teams views these principles with the metaphor of a camera. Stating that each will contribute as a filter for that camera, and unless all five filters are applied and honored, the picture will be blurry. This tool will become essential as the community weighs choices involving investments, capital project priorities, and new or expanded partnerships.
In 2019, the city will use this new filter to revisit and update the Comprehensive Plan as well as prepare a first-ever Transportation Master Plan.
