City Council Wants to Hear From Young Residents, Students and Employees
The Littleton City Council is recruiting residents, students, and those employed in Littleton between the ages of 17 and 34 to serve on a new advisory board designed to increase dialogue and engagement with this segment of the community.
The Next Generation Advisory Committee will meet monthly and members will provide input to city council on policy matters including elements of the comprehensive plan such as housing, parks and recreation, public awareness and support for innovation, and transit and transportation issues.
The committee will comprise up to 11 individuals. The goal is to have representatives from Littleton Public Schools, Arapahoe Community College and others who live or work in the city. Applications are due by March 22 and can be found on the city website at littletongov.org. Interviews will be held April 4 at 6:30 p.m. and meetings will take place the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Littleton Center, 2255 West Berry Avenue.
