LPD's Citizen Academy Classes Begin in September
Have you ever wondered how and why the police do what they do? Consider joining the fall session of the Littleton Police Department’s (LPD) Citizen Academy!
The Fall 2019 session is set to start Thursday, September 5. The session runs 12 weeks, meeting every Thursday from 6-9:30 p.m., with no class on Halloween, October 31.
The weekly classes cover topics ranging from gangs and drugs to traffic stops and crime scene investigation and everything in between. The curriculum also includes a ride-along with an officer during their patrol shift. Classes are taught by various LPD officers and staff so participants get to meet a variety of people from the department. Each class includes dinner and beverages.
Anyone who lives, works or goes to school in the City of Littleton is invited to apply. High school students who might be interested in a career in law enforcement are especially encouraged to participate.
Don’t wait - complete the application to reserve your spot in the fall class. Contact Sergeant Steve Skundberg at 303-795-3846 or email@example.com, or Barb Andres at 303-795-3880 or firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
