Update: LPD Investigating Domestic Dispute

Post Date:01/17/2020 4:45 p.m.

LPD Police BadgeThe Littleton Police Department responded to a domestic dispute which occurred on January 16, 2020 at the Pinnacle at Mountain Gate Apartments, 4600 West Mineral Drive. Officers responded to the report of a fire on the porch of an apartment and a male standing on the porch. The male was contacted and safely taken into police custody without further incident. Through an investigation done by Littleton Police Department it was determined the male had been in a domestic argument with his girlfriend and had fired two shots from a handgun toward his girlfriend during the argument; neither shot injured the female. The male stepped outside to start the fire on the porch, at which time the female fled the apartment to safety and requested bystanders call 911. South Metro Fire Department responded to the apartment to address the fire which was contained. No injuries were sustained and there is no threat to the community at this time.

The male has been identified as 39-year-old David Ingals. Ingals is being held at the Arapahoe County jail on the charges of attempted first degree murder, first degree arson, and kidnapping. A booking photo is available through the Arapahoe County Jail.
