The Littleton Center reopened on May 18 with a phased approach that includes very limited public access. Most Building and Development staff continue to operate remotely and will maintain as many business operations as possible. Staff is not currently available for walk-ins.

Staff will continue to answer phones and respond to emails. Code Enforcement staff will not be taking in-person reports until further notice.

The mission of Code Enforcement is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of the community through education, community involvement, and enforcement of ordinances. Our goal is to ensure safe, attractive neighborhoods, vibrant businesses, and a peaceful, enjoyable community for everyone.

The Code Enforcement Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for investigating complaints and addressing code violations.

What do the codes regulate?

Littleton City Code regulates property maintenance, zoning, new construction, signage, residential and commercial properties. The City of Littleton has adopted the International Codes including the International Property Maintenance Code, Building and Residential Code, and Littleton Municipal Codes.  For some of the common violations, see the Code Enforcement and Property Maintenance brochure.
