Littleton, CO 80120
Littleton's city planners are responsible for developing and updating the city’s comprehensive plan and its various elements; for implementing the comprehensive plan through the review of development and rezoning applications, and through the writing, updating, and implementing of land use regulations, including zoning.
Before looking for zoning information, first ask - Am I within the city boundaries?
Just because the postal mailing address is "Littleton" doesn't mean that the address is actually within Littleton's jurisdiction. See the Littleton city limits map to search for an address. To find your Littleton zone district, search the Littleton Zoning Map.
The City of Littleton is seeing unprecedented quantity
of development and building permit applications
The City of Littleton is experiencing an unprecedented number of development and building permit applications, and our limited staff is working harder than ever to keep pace. The number of development applications has increased more than 200 percent over the last five years. This boom may affect your project's review time and your wait time at our permit counter.
We are taking major steps to improve the services we provide, including outsourcing some reviews. We know your time is valuable, and we will continue to work hard to keep pace with application and building permit demand, while making changes behind the scenes for long-term success.
Thank you for your patience during this busy time.
Development Activity List
Current development applications are available to view on the city website via the Development Activity List listing all development applications from concept through fruition. Visit www.littletongov.org/dal or click on the blue button from the city's homepage.
A pre-application meeting benefits the applicant by giving them the opportunity to present basic information to staff representatives from the Community Development, Public Works, and Fire Departments. The applicant will receive general comments on the feasibility of the plan, the process(es), submittal requirements and fees required to process and review the plan. To request a pre-application meeting, applicants should complete a pre-application meeting request form.
**Pre-Application meetings are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Please note, demand for a meeting ebbs and flows -- scheduling for pre-application meetings could be 4-6 weeks out.**
Where do I get help?
Call the Community Development Department at 303-795-3748. After your question or problem is identified, you will be directed to the appropriate staff person.
