Career Online High School (COHS) is an online high school diploma and career certification program funded by Bemis Public Library. Community members who have completed 8th grade and are 19 years or older are eligible to apply.
Earn a career certificate in addition to a high school diploma! Students choose a major from one of the following high-growth, high-demand career fields and complete coursework to develop the skills and knowledge that employers are looking for:
- Child Care & Education (CDA)
- Certified Protection Officer
- Commercial Driving
- Office Management
- Homeland Security
- General Career Preparation/Professional Skills
- Retail Customer Service Skills
- Food and Customer Service Skills
Cost of the Program
Bemis Library can award up to 27 scholarships to qualified community members so there is no cost to the student. The program is 100% online, which means students can access course materials from anywhere at any time. There's no need to purchase any additional materials.
Application ProcessTo enroll, students must successfully pass an online self-assessment with an essay question and prerequisite course. Following the self-assessment students will be invited to an in-person interview. A determination will be made by the library’s enrollment team regarding scholarship award.
