|Friends Craft Fair on Hiatus for 2020
The health and safety of the community is the #1 priority for the Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum. To protect crafters, shoppers and staff, the Friends board has made the difficult decision to cancel the Friends Craft Fair scheduled for October 3 in Ketring Park.
In working closely with Tri-County Health Department (TCHD), the Friends realized that complying with TCHD's requirements would be difficult and severely restrict attendance. Requirements included limiting attendance to 175 people at a time, maintaining social distance standards, creating a fenced perimeter, enforcing one way traffic, increased sanitation, providing only contactless payment, and more.
Since 1971, the Friends Craft Fair has been a beloved Littleton tradition featuring 300+ talented artisans and crafters, and the Friends look forward to hosting another wonderful fair in 2021.
The Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum Craft Fair is held annually on the first Saturday in October on the scenic grounds of Ketring Park, next door to the Littleton Museum located at 6028 S. Gallup Street.
This year's fair date is Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair is held rain, snow or shine, and there is no admission charge.
Shoppers can browse over 250 booths of hand-crafted items, and purchase breakfast and lunch items from five food concession stands run by local nonprofit organizations.
Because attendance is very high, shoppers are asked to observe all parking signs and directions. Craft Fair parking is prohibited in the Bemis Public Library lot as they need the spaces for Library patrons.
Crafters: to participate in the fair, complete the application for booth space.
Proceeds from booth fees are used by the Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum organization to sponsor programs at the Littleton Museum and Bemis Public Library.
